 “The Good News”

 

This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His Sight.  This is accomplished from start to finish by faith.  As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”    Romans 1:17

 

This GOOD NEWS is for EVERYONE, and it is the POWER of GOD at work, SAVING EVERYONE who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. Verses sixteen and seventeen are the theme of Paul’s letter; which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which reveals the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD that is based on FAITH, and it is available to ALL who BELIEVE.

 

RIGHTEOUSNESS is the state of being JUST or RIGHTFUL, and it comes from GOD through the REDEEMING WORK of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  He is the ONLY ONE who can make us JUST or RIGHT in GOD’S EYES.  He gives us His RIGHTEOUSNESS and we then are able to have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with GOD, as His BELOVED Children.  But this RELATIONSHIP with GOD is ONLY POSSIBLE through our FAITH in His BELOVED SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  

 

In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, he said:  “God saved you by His Grace when you BELIEVED. And you can’t take credit for this, it is a Gift from God.  SALVATION is NOT a reward for the good things we have done, so NONE of us can boast about it.  For we are God’s Masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”  (Vv-8-10).  As the Scriptures say, “No one is RIGHTEOUS—not even one.”  (Rom. 3:10).  But people are counted RIGHTEOUS, not because of their works, but because of their FAITH in GOD who FORGIVES sinners.”  (Rom. 4:5)  And this is GOOD NEWS!!

 

We are ALL infected and impure with sin.  When we display OUR RIGHTEOUS deeds, they are NOTHING but FILTHY RAGS.  And like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and OUR SINS sweep us away like the wind.  (Isaiah 64:6).  And our ETERNAL DESTINY is an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there. Is this your DESTINY?

 

You now know the GOOD NEWS, your DESTINY is in YOUR HANDS.  If you REJECT GOD, and the GOOD NEWS about SALVATION through His SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, then you will seal your fate to an ETERNITY in HELL, unless you will ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in need of the SAVIOR, JESUS, who SUFFERED, BLED, and DIED and was RESURRECTED from DEATH and the grave, so mankind could have a RIGHTEOUS RELATIONSHIP with HOLY GOD.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  And you MUST CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and be a recipient of the GOOD NEWS, and be made RIGHTEOUS in GOD’S SIGHT.  And spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!
