“God’s Declaration of Sin’s Control Over Us”

 

The Law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature.  So, God did what the Law could not do.  He sent His Own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have.  And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sins.  He did this so that the just requirement of the Law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.    Romans 8:3-4

 

Are you living in VICTORY or DEFEAT?  There are many who are under a FALSE ASSUMPTION, thinking they are living a life of VICTORY, when in ALL ACTUALITY they are NOT.  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, for the SALVATION of your soul, then you are REALLY living in DEFEAT.  

 

Whether you are LIVING in VICTORY or DEFEAT, is determined by TWO LAWS, the LAW of SIN or the LAW of the SPIRIT of GOD.  If you are an UNBELIEVER, one who has NOT given their HEART and LIFE to GOD, and are LIVING in the FLESH or in SIN, then you are LIVING in DEFEAT.  But the TRUE BELIEVER who LIVES and FOLLOWS the LAW of the SPIRIT, is ACTUALLY LIVING in VICTORY.  They have VICTORY over SIN and the GRAVE.  The Law of the SPIRIT, goes far above the Law of SIN.  In the previous verses of this chapter, the Apostle Paul, talked about the Law of MOSES, and some believe that if you KEEP the LAWS of MOSES, you will be RIGHT with God.  But that is NOT TRUE, first of all, you cannot KEEP ALL the LAWS of MOSES, if you tried to.  Because, if you try TO, you’ll find that you have broken one or MORE of the Laws in the process.  

 

Since the LAW of MOSES was inadequate to bring SALVATION to FALLEN MANKIND, God DECLARED an END to SIN’S CONTROL over us by GIVING His ONLY SON as a SACRIFICE for our sins.  It doesn’t matter how INFLUENTIAL, WELL-LIKED, SUCCESSFUL, or WEALTHY, you are, nor what an OUTSTANDING, HONEST person you are, if you have NOT GIVEN your HEART and LIFE to GOD, by coming through the BLOOD of JESUS, you are LIVING in DEFEAT with a DEFEATED ETERNAL LIFE, in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there, facing you.  

 

However, you have the OPPORTUNITY, NOW to TURN AWAY FROM your DEFEATED, SINFUL LIFE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  This is what you MUST DO:  ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, who died for the SALVATION of your SOUL.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS SUFFERED, BLED, DIED, and RESURRECTED to provide you a WAY to BE RIGHT with GOD.  When JESUS BECAME the ONCE FOR ALL SACRIFICE for ALL MANKIND GOD DECLARED AN END to SIN’S CONTROL over US.  And we can have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BE WILLING to LIVE by the SPIRIT, and NOT by the FLESH.  Then you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and STOP LIVING A DEFEATED LIFESTYLE and START LIVING a VICTORIOUS LIFE in CHRIST JESUS. This is GOD’S DECLARATION OF the END OF SIN’S CONTROL over US.  Do this NOW, while you STILL CAN.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!   Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!
