 “The GRIEVED Heart of the ALMIGHTY God”

 

When the LORD saw that man’s wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every scheme his mind thought of was nothing but evil all the time, the LORD regretted that He had mad man on the earth, and He was grieved in His Heart.   Genesis 6:5-6

 

Have you ever been so troubled about SOMETHING or SOMEONE, that it GRIEVES your HEART, or we might say it BREAKS your HEART?  This incident in Chapter six, verses five and six in the Book of Genesis, was at the time, just before Noah, the only one who found FAVOR with God, built the ARK, which God had called him to do.  Because Noah was a GODLY MAN, who was living in an UNGODLY WORLD, which was getting WORSE by the day.  And God wanted to SAVE Noah, and his ENTIRE family.  God gave Noah the INSTRUCTIONS that he MUST FOLLOW with NO DEVIATING from those INSTRUCTIONS.  If Noah VIOLATED those INSTRUCTIONS in ANY WAY, he would be in BIG TROUBLE. 

 

You see, Noah, MUST BE OBEDIENT and FOLLOW GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS to the tee.  He could NOT WAIVER, nor could he come up with what he thought to be a BETTER PLAN.  So, Noah knew that he MUST OBEY GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS if he and his family were to be SAVED from GOD’S WRATH.  

 

Noah, PREACHED to ALL the other PEOPLE, who would come to watch the building of this MASSIVE BOAT, the ARK.  But they didn’t LISTEN and REFUSED to do what Noah would tell them they MUST DO in order to be SAVED.  Instead, they went their MERRY(?) WAY.  And mankind’s WICKEDNESS became WIDESPREAD on the earth, the SCHEMING THOUGHTS of their minds was NOTHING but PURE EVIL ALL the time.  It was SO BAD that God REGRETTED or He was SORRY for even CREATING MANKIND. 

 

Now, I’ve told you this scenario, in order to tell you that the WICKEDNESS and EVIL SCHEMES of MANKIND, haven’t gone away, which you should KNOW anyway, but it, I believe, is EVERY BIT as BAD and maybe even WORSE today.  Noah and his family were SAVED from the WRATH of the ALMIGHTY GOD, because NOAH was OBEDIENT in FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS.  ALL the other people PERISHED in the FLOOD, because they did NOT FOLLOW GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS. This GRIEVED the HEART of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  

 

God has INSTRUCTIONS for MANKIND to FOLLOW, in order to be SAVED from an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there. So, in order, to be OBEDIENT to GOD, and to receive His SALVATION, you MUST FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS.  You, MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who is the SON of God, and has PROVIDED the ONLY WAY to SALVATION, through His SUFFERING, DEATH, and RESURRECTION. Then you MUST BELIEVE that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And you MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and STOP GRIEVING the VERY HEART of the LIVING GOD and be ABLE to ESCAPE HIS WRATH.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!
