 “The Humble Servant”

 

Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God, as something to cling to.  Instead, He gave up His divine privileges, He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.  When He appeared in human form, He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.   Philippians 2:6-8

 

Jesus Christ, the Son of the LIVING GOD, knew, even at an EARLY AGE, who He was, and this KNOWLEDGE, astounded the MOST LEARNED people.  We are told that when He was twelve years old, He and His Family did their annual trek to Jerusalem for the Passover festival.  When Joseph and Mary started home, Jesus was NOT with them, but this did NOT worry them, they thought that He might be with some of the other people who were traveling with them.  However, when Jesus didn’t show up that evening Mary and Joseph started looking for Him. And when they found Him, He was in the Temple, sitting among the religious teachers, listening to them and asking questions.  ALL who heard Him were AMAZED at His UNDERSTANDING and His ANSWERS.  While He was there, He displayed some of His Heavenly Father’s Attributes, such as, being OMNISCIENT (All KNOWING).  In verse 49, Jesus asked His Parent a question; “But why did you need to search? Didn’t you know that I must be in My Father’s House?” Luke 3:41-51

 

So, at an EARLY AGE, Jesus knew that He was to be TOTALLY OBEDIENT to HIS HEAVENLY FATHER.  As He grew into a MAN, He, KNEW what it TRULY MEANT to take on the role of a HUMBLE SERVANT, one who was COMPASSIONATE, LOVING, STRONG, COURAGEOUS, and ONE who was and had been, TOTALLY OBEDIENT to HIS HEAVENLY FATHER, so much so, that He HUMBLED HIMSELF in OBEDIENCE to God and DIED a CRIMINAL’S DEATH on a CROSS.  

 

A Christian, who DESIRES to have a CHRISTLIKE ATTITUDE like JESUS CHRIST, needs to possess two important attributes:  They NEED to HUMBLE themselves and to be OBEDIENT to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.  And when you TRULY KNOW who you are, a SAINT of GOD or a WRETCHED SINNER. To the One, who is the SAINT of GOD, a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD, then SERVANTHOOD won’t be a problem, but COULD be a BLESSING.

 

If you have NOT GIVEN your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are putting your ETERNAL EXISTENCE at GREAT RISK. Those who ARE NOT a CHILD of GOD, will face JUDGMENT and CONDEMNATION, because they think that CHRISTIANITY is a FARCE, and they have NOT COME to GOD through TOTAL BELIEF and FAITHFULNESS in His Son JESUS CHRIST.  In order to do that you MUST FIRST, ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, The ONE who FREELY GAVE HIS LIFE, to provide for YOU and ME, ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to be able to ESCAPE HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once you are there.  You MUST BELIEVE with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BE WILLING to TURN from your SINFUL LIFESTYLE and TURN to GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and take on the MINDSET of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and be an OBEDIENT, HUMBLE SERVANT of the LIVING GOD.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can. He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be LEFT BEHIND!!!
