The Beginning of Wisdom

 

 

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight.  His praise endures forever.---------Psalm 111:10

 

 

The word “fear” here does not mean to be afraid, but it means to RESPECT.  In other words “The RESPECT of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; to RESPECT, HONOR, TRUST and have FAITH in the God of this Universe is DEFINITELY the beginning of wisdom.

 

When we RESPECT, HONOR, TRUST, and have FAITH in Him then we WILL follow His instructions or precepts and He will give us the wisdom and insight we need to follow Him.  However, if we FAIL in giving Him the RESPECT, HONOR, TRUST and FAITH then we lose out on the wisdom and insight NEEDED to FOLLOW His instructions and are at RISK of FAILING in our Christian walk and it is IMPOSSIBLE to ‘follow His instructions.’

 

As His Children, we MUST RESPECT His judgment, HONOR His wishes, TRUST His wisdom, and have FAITH in His guidance.  Then we will experience the beginning of wisdom and have good insight to follow His instructions. 

 

If you are NOT His Child, then you cannot possibly RESPECT, HONOR, TRUST or have FAITH in Him and you have yet to experience the ‘beginning of wisdom.’  You may have a lot of “book-knowledge,” which by worldly standards, makes you “wise,” but when it comes down to wisdom of the heart, soul and mind, you don’t have the wisdom or good insight to be able to FOLLOW God’s WISE instructions and you are headed for an ETERNITY full of HEAD-knowledge, but NO HEART- knowledge, an ETERNITY with nothing but DESPAIR, HEARTACHE, TORTURE, HATE, MISERY, and LOSTNESS.  So the question is: Do you want the wisdom that this world offers or do you want the wisdom of the Holy God of this Universe? Which, by the way FAR EXCEEDS the wisdom of the world.  If your choice is to have the godly wisdom, then you MUST:  CONFESS your sins to God and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
