“Children of God”

 

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.  Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky…          Philippians 2:14.

 

As Children of God, we should conduct ourselves in such a way that would bring honor, glory and praise to the ONLY ONE who is worthy, our Lord Jesus Christ.  The Bible tells us that, ‘whatever we do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.  You are serving the Lord Christ.’   (Colossians 3:23-24). 

 

The Apostle Paul tells us to do EVERYTHING WITHOUT grumbling or arguing.  There are some in our churches, who need to hear this.  It really is one of my pet peeves, when people are called on to help in the ministry of the church  or they may even volunteer to do something, but while  they are serving they grumble and complain about EVERYTHING.  And I mean to tell you that God does NOT want or need your grumbling, arguing, and complaining attitude when you are working for Him.

 

We should have an attitude of LOVE and COMPASSION in serving our Lord.  We should feel honored to be able to serve Him.  After ALL He has done for us, should we not be WILLING to do WHATEVER we need to, and to do it with a LOVING, GODLY, COMPASSIONATE heart that will honor the ONE who suffered and died in order that we might LIVE for Him and with Him for ALL eternity?

 

The Scripture tells us that we should do EVERYTHING without grumbling and arguing, so that we may become blameless and pure, Children of God without fault.  Our attitude reflects what is in our HEART, and shows in our service for the Lord.  When we grumble, argue and complain, it shows that our HEART just isn’t into our service for our Lord.   Is He not worthy of your time and talents?  Are you not willing to put Him FIRST in your life and to give Him the time He deserves, without GRUMBLING, ARGUING, and COMPLAINING with EVERYTHING you do for Him? 

 

When we serve God with ALL our HEART and do it WITHOUT grumbling, arguing, and complaining, we become like the stars in the night sky.  We will let our LOVE for the Lord shine in a dark, warped and crooked generation. We will set an AWESOME example and a message to a lost and dying world; that we have a God that is MORE than WORTHY of our LOVING SERVICE to Him.  So Children of God, STOP grumbling, arguing and complaining about having to serve your Redeemer King, and START serving Him with a LOVING and COMPASSIONATE HEART, so your attitude will SHINE for JESUS.

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are not a part of His family, you are NOT His Child, therefore you will not receive an inheritance, the HOPE of Heaven, but will suffer and spend an eternity grumbling, arguing and complaining not because of having to serve Him, but because of the unending pain, torment, torture and misery.  You NOW have the opportunity to change your destination by:  CONFESSING your sins to God, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and STOP grumbling, arguing, and complaining about EVERYTHING, but start your relationship with God with a LOVING, COMPASSIONATE desire to do WHATEVER He desires of you, and shine for Jesus.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
