“The Gift versus the Trespass”

 

 

But the gift is not like the trespass.  For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!       

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!          Romans 5:15 & 17

 

 

When Adam and Eve sinned against God, that one sin brought condemnation on ALL mankind.  When we are born, we are born with a SINFUL nature, which means we have the insatiable desire to sin.  That ONE sin of Adam and Eve brought about punishment for all mankind. 

 

But God had a plan, and His plan was to give mankind the ONE thing they needed to lift the curse of sin, depravity, and ETERNAL PUNISHMENT.  His plan was to give a SPECIAL GIFT, which would take away the curse and provide ETERNAL LIFE for ALL PEOPLE who BELIEVE and ACCEPT His SPECIAL GIFT.

 

That SPECIAL GIFT, is the gift of SALVATION, which was made possible by the SUPREME, ULTIMATE, ONCE-FOR-ALL, SACRIFICE of the Lord Jesus Christ, when He gave His LIFE by the shedding of His precious BLOOD on an old rugged cross at Calvary. 

 

When we ACCEPT His SPECIAL GIFT, we are adopted into God’s family and have an inheritance of spending ALL eternity in Heaven with God and His Son, Jesus Christ.  And one day we will live and rule as kings.  We will be a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, and God’s CHOSEN PEOPLE. 

 

If you keep rejecting God’s SPECIAL GIFT, you will risk spending ALL your eternity in a place called Hell, the place of heartache, pain, torment, torture, and despair, with NO WAY to escape.  Are you willing to risk that?  If NOT, God may be dealing with your HEART, offering you His SPECIAL GIFT of SALVATION.  He wants you to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His SPECIAL GIFT of SALVATION, and be able to spend ALL ETERNITY in Heaven, with Him and His Son, Jesus Christ.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
