“Jesus Christ, the Wisdom and the Power of Almighty God”

 

But Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God to those people God has called---Jews and Greeks.  Even the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. 

Because of God you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God.  In Christ we are put right with God, and have been made holy, and have been set free from sin.  So as the Scripture says, “if someone wants to brag, he should brag only about the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 1: 24, 25, 30, 31

 

WISDOM and POWER, two things that every TRUE BELIEVER needs in their relationship with God.  The Apostle Paul tells the church in Corinth, that God called EVERY TRUE BELIEVER, who has FAITH to BELIEVE the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ.   If God had called them on the basis of THEIR WISDOM, INFLUENCE, and POWER, He would have turned them away.  He went on to say that even the FOOLISHNESS of God Is WISER than any HUMAN WISDOM, and the WEAKNESS of God is STRONGER than HUMAN STRENGTH.  

 

There is NO WISDOM that can come close to COMPARING with that of the Almighty God, nor is there any STRENGTH that can COMPARE with God’s POWER.  God is OMNIPOTENT—ALL POWERFUL and OMNISCIENT—ALL KNOWING, and there is NO HUMAN WISDOM or POWER that can come anywhere close to Him. 

 

God’s WISDOM and POWER is personified in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and because of God we, the TRUE BELIEVER, have the opportunity to exercise the WISDOM and POWER of the Almighty God in our own lives, THROUGH the WORK of His HOLY SPIRIT, which is given to the TRUE BELIEVER at the time of their conversion.   In James 1:5, he says:  “If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it.” 

 

It is in Christ that we are put right or given RIGHTEOUSNESS, with God, this is our JUSTIFICATION, and we have been made holy, this is our SANCTIFICATION, and we have been SET FREE from our sin, this is our GLORIFICATION.  And it is ALL made possible because of the SACRIFICE of the Lord Jesus Christ, on the Cross.  By His Spirit we have ACCESS to God’s WISDOM and POWER.  That, my dear brothers and sisters, is the ONE to whom we can BRAG ON!

However, if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are NOT a TRUE BELIVER, who has received JUSTIFICATION, SANCTIFICATION or GLORIFICATION.  But you are DOOMED and headed for HELL, the place of UNENDING torment, torture, pain, heartache, agony, and despair, with NO way of ESCAPE, unless you TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and tap into His WISDOM and POWER.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
