“The Gift of God’s PROTECTION”

 

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.                   2 Thessalonians 3:3

 

FATHER GOD is a LOVING Father, who wants the VERY BEST for His CHILDREN.  And with that thought, we see from this verse of Scripture, that He PROMISES that He will STRENGTHEN and PROTECT us from the EVIL ONE.  Therefore, the TRUE BELIEVER, the TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD, can have CONFIDENCE in HIM, and His PROMISE of His PROTECTION from the EVIL ONE.

 

This CONFIDENCE is rooted in the FAITHFULNESS of GOD.  And the TRUE CHILD of GOD can have the ASSURANCE that God will keep His PROMISES. This CONFIDENCE is built on the CHARACTER of the LIVING GOD.  God’s PROMISE to STRENGTHEN and PROTECT His CHILDREN from the EVIL ONE is really a two-fold GIFT.  God PROMISES to give them STRENGTH to OVERCOME the TEMPTATIONS and TRIALS they may face, and He PROMISES to PROTECT them from the EVIL ONE and his minions.  Mankind CANNOT be an OVERCOMER to TEMPTATIONS and TRIALS nor can they be VICTORIOUS over the EVIL ONE, under their OWN POWER.  It is ONLY POSSIBLE under the POWER of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  

 

Psalm 91, tells us: “Because they LOVE ME” says the LORD, “I will rescue them; I will PROTECT them, for they ACKNOWLEDGE My Name.”  This PROMISE, to the TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD, gives them CONFIDENCE in God’s PROMISE of PROTECTION, and they can be ASSURED of His FAITHFULNESS towards them.  Do you have that ASSURANCE?  And have you RECEIVED His GIFT of PROTECTION? 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, then you are NOT His Child, you are His Creation, but you have NOT been ADOPTED into His Family, and you do NOT possess the ASSURANCE of His GIFT of PROTECTION.  In order to receive this VERY NEEDED GIFT, you MUST be WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  BELIEVING with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION and be ASSURED of His GIFT of PROTECTION.  And be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, after you are there, and to RECEIVE an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
