“The Glorious Gift of God’s COMPASSION”

 

You will again have compassion on us; You will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.     Micah 7:19

 

The Prophet Micah makes this statement: “Who is a God like You, who PARDONS sin and FORGIVES the transgression of the remnant of His Inheritance (Israel)?” (v18) There is NO OTHER GOD, who can PARDON the SINS and FORGIVE the TRANSGRESSIONS of MANKIND. We ALL stand at the MERCY of the HOLY, RIGHTEOUS GOD of this UNIVERSE.  And it is because of His UNFAILING LOVE that we can be FORGIVEN.  That UNFAILING LOVE brings US His GLORIOUS GIFT of COMPASSION. 

 

His COMPASSION causes Him to NOT stay ANGRY FOREVER, but to show us MERCY, which He delights in.  AND it prompts Him to take and TREAD our SINS under His Feet and to HURL ALL our INIQUITIES into the DEPTHS of the SEA, which shows COMPLETE FORGIVENESS.  And because of His COMPASSION, He SPARES those, who are His TRUE CHILDREN, from the AGONY of spending an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE after you are there.  This COMPASSION shows us the distinction between the fates of those who EARNESTLY SERVE Him, the RIGHTEOUS, and those who CONTINUALLY REJECT Him, the WICKED.

 

Another ATTRIBUTE of GOD’S GIFT of COMPASSION is, that it makes Him the GOD of ALL COMFORT. He COMFORTS us in all our troubles, so that we can COMFORT others as they encounter troubles.  We SHOULD do this with the COMFORT we ourselves have RECEIVED from GOD. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

 

 This GLORIOUS GIFT of GOD’S COMPASSION is for those who have given their HEART and LIFE to Him and have RECEIVED His Gift of SALVATION.  If you have NOT done this, then your ETERNAL DESTINY is HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, after you are there.  In order to ACCEPT God’s GLORIOUS GIFT of COMPASSION, you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. And CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, made possible through the SHED BLOOD of His ONLY SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and RECEIVE His GLORIOUS GIFT of COMPASSION, which will guarantee you an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
