“The Reconciler”

 

For God in All His fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to Himself.  He made peace with everything in Heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s Blood on the Cross.    Colossians 1:19-20

 

The word FULLNESS is a KEY word in the book of Colossians, and it means COMPLETENESS.  This FULLNESS includes God’s being and His GRACE in His One and Only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  And it is the FULL and COMPLETE Deity, which INDWELLS PERMANENTLY in CHRIST JESUS.

 

God was PLEASED to LIVE in Christ, and THROUGH Him to RECONCILE everything to Himself.  In the fourteenth chapter of the Gospel of John, Jesus tells us that He is in the Father, and the Father is in Him.  (vv 10-11).  Through Christ Jesus, God has RECONCILED EVERYTHING to Himself.  That is, EVERYTHING that is in HEAVEN and on EARTH, which is limited to the Angels and REDEEMED PEOPLE.  It is an IMPORTANT fact to KNOW, this RECONCILIATION is that PEOPLE are RECONCILED to God, and NOT God RECONCILED to people.  For it was/is mankind who SEPARATED themselves from God, and it is MANKIND who needs to be RECONCILED to God. 

 

This act of RECONCILIATION was made possible ONLY through the SHED BLOOD of Jesus Christ, on the OLD, RUGGED CROSS, and through His Blood, Jesus was ABLE to make PEACE between FALLEN MANKIND and the RIGHTEOUS, HOLY GOD of the Universe.  Thus, a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP was established and mankind was/is able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and GAIN an ETERNITY in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  ALL because of the OBEDIENCE unto DEATH, carried out by the LORD JESUS CHRIST for the REDEMPTION and RECONCILIATION of MANKIND. 

 

Jesus Christ, the RECONCILER, is ALSO the VICTOR over DEATH and the GRAVE.  He is ALIVE in HEAVEN making intercession for those who BELIEVE and are NOW a part of GOD’S FAMILY.  Are you a part of God’s Family?  Have you given your HEART and LIFE to Him?  Are you RECONCILED to God?  If you have NOT done these things, then you are NOT part of GOD’S FAMILY and You have NOT been RECONCILED to God.  But you can be, if you will ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of a SAVIOR, and BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  And CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  Be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION and be RECONCILED to God, through the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the RECONCILER.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
