 “The Fall and Rise Of Many”

 

“For my eyes have seen Your Salvation, which You have prepared before the face of all peoples.  A Light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your People Israel.”   Luke 2:30-32

 

Simeon, a devout, good, God-fearing man, was waiting for Israel’s SALVATION, and the Holy Spirit was with him, and had assured him that he would NOT die before he had seen the Lord’s Promised Messiah. (V-25)  Being led by the Holy Spirit, Simeon went into the Temple, when the Parents of Jesus, brought Him into the temple to do what was required.  When Simeon saw the Baby Jesus, he took Him in his arms and gave THANKS to God.  

 

Simeon voiced his thanksgiving to God, by saying:  “Now, Lord, You have kept your promise, and you may let your servant go in peace.” Simeon’s one GREAT DESIRE was to see JESUS, the MESSIAH, the HOLY ONE of God, the SALVATION of ALL MANKIND, and the GLORY of God’s People, Israel.  Simeon indicated that the MESSIAH was to be for the Gentiles as well as for Israel.  Mary’s Boy Child, would be a LIGHT of REVELATION to the GENTILES. Yet he informed Mary that, JESUS, God’s Chosen One, would also be the FALL and RISING of MANY in Israel, and a SIGN spoken against.  

 

Throughout the MINISTRY of Jesus, He preached that the ONLY WAY to the Kingdom of God, was for the people to FOLLOW HIM.  And those who ACCEPTED His Message, and FOLLOWED HIM, received SALVATION and would RISE, but for those who REJECTED His Message, they would FALL, and this opposition would eventually cause the AGONY and DEATH of Mary’s Son, which would feel like a sword piercing her own soul, so that the secret thoughts of many may be revealed, and they will, ONE DAY!  

 

Mary’s Son, Jesus Christ, did SUFFER and DIE, but He didn’t stay DEAD, on His THIRD DAY of being in that tomb, God, RESURRECTED, His ONLY SON, and He is ALIVE TODAY, in Heaven making intercession for ALL God’s Children, before God, and thus SECURING their ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to be able to ESCAPE an ETERNAL LIFE, in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS.  Where do you stand, with those who BELIEVE and will RISE or with those who DO NOT BELIEVE and will FALL? 

 

 You can RISE to an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN if you will TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN to GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And ADMIT that you are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, Jesus.  And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART,  that He DIED for YOU, and is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And FOLLOW CHRIST JESUS to an ETERNITY in HEAVEN by ACCEPTING God’s Gift of SALVATION, and RISE with ALL His Saints. Remember, if you REJECT Him, you will FALL, and spend your ETERNITY in HELL, with NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  So, ACCEPT Him NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
