“Blessed Are Those Who Have Not Seen, Yet They BELIEVE!”

 “Blessed Are Those Who Have Not Seen, Yet They BELIEVE!”

Then Jesus told Thomas, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”   John 20:29

After the RESURRECTION of Jesus, the Disciples were gathered together, with the doors and windows LOCKED for fear of the Jews.  When all of a sudden Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”  After He said that, He showed them His Hands and Side.  The Disciples were OVERJOYED when they saw the Lord Jesus Christ.  Now, one of the Disciples, Thomas, was NOT with the others, when Jesus came.  When they told Thomas that they had SEEN the Lord, he said to them, “Unless, I see the NAIL MARKS in His Hands, and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His Side, I will NOT BELIEVE IT.”

A week later when the Disciples met again, Thomas was with them.  And though the doors were LOCKED, Jesus stood among them, and He said:  “Peace be with you, then He turned to Thomas and said:  “ Put your finger here ; see My hands.  Reach out your hand and put it into My Side.  STOP DOUBTING and BELIEVE.”  Then, Thomas said to Jesus:  “My Lord and my God!”  And Jesus replied to Thomas:  “Because you have SEEN Me, you have BELIEVED; BLESSED are those who have NOT SEEN and YET have BELIEVED.”

Are you like Thomas; unless you SEE, you aren’t going to BELIEVE?  When Thomas did SEE Jesus, his response was:  “My LORD and my GOD!”  Thomas’ acclamation is the PINNACLE of the GOSPEL.   Jesus SALVATION MISSION, was COMPLETE and because HE LIVES, we have the HOPE of ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN.  Jesus told Thomas:  “You have SEEN Me, and you have BELIEVED; but BLESSED are those who have NOT SEEN and yet they BELIEVE.”  

This BLESSING was addressed to those who would COME to FAITH in CHRIST JESUS, but yet they have NOT witnessed the MIRACULOUS ACTS of the LORD JESUS.  And YET, they BELIEVE because of the WORD of the LIVING GOD, which is ALIVE and SHARPER than ANY TWO EDGED SWORD.  The TRUE BELIEVERS of today, have that BLESSING, and HOPE of an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  And will be ABLE to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY TO ESCAPE, once you are there.  Do you possess that BLESSING?

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you do NOT possess that BLESSING, instead, you will FACE the JUDGMENT and CONDEMNATION of the ALMIGHTY GOD, and will be spending your ETERNITY in HELL.  In order to change such a destiny, YOU MUST ADMIT that you are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR; the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who TOOK the punishment that you deserve.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFE-STYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and DON’T be a DOUBTING THOMAS, but be a TRUE BELIEVER, one who has NOT SEEN yet BELIEVES!”  Do this NOW, while you STILL can. He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  GET READY, and DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND!!
