Let Me Tell You!

All of you who fear God, come and listen and I will tell what He has done for me.-----Psalm 66:16

Football season is upon us, which in Alabama, means either a sea of blue and orange or crimson and white shirts, caps, socks, shoes, jewelry, and who knows what else, abounds.

Everywhere you go people are giving each other high-fives and shouting "War Eagle!" or "Roll Tide, Roll!"  Now please don't get me wrong, I see nothing wrong with showing a little school-spirit, or being proud of their accomplishments.

I have NEVER understood people going to concerts where HEAD-BANGING music is performed and they act as if they are having some kind of convulsive fit, or they are sobbing, yelling, waving their arms above their technicolor heads.

However, when it comes to SHOUTING to the Lord and letting the WORLD know what our GREAT, AMAZING, AWE-INSPIRING,  and ABLE to do MORE than we could EVER imagine, CREATOR GOD has done for US, we seem to SHY away.

Now, let me just speak from my heart, and should this offend ANYONE, I apologize.  If you PRAISE God in a more subdued way, like not raising your hand(s) or clapping etc.  that is TOTALLY between YOU and the LORD.  It is my feeling that a person SHOULD be LED by the Holy Spirit of the Living God in their mannerisms of worship.  The same thing goes for those who shout, clap raise their hands, or whatever they may be LED by the Holy Spirit to do, as long as it is done in the attitude of PRAISE and WORSHIP to the ALMIGHTY GOD, the ONLY One worthy of our PRAISE and WORSHIP, and that it is NOT done for self-gratification or JUST to make YOU feel good, because it is ALL for HIM.  But in so doing, it may BLESS you so much that is makes you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Now that I have totally chased that rabbit, let me say one more thing.  It you are a TRUE child of the Living God, you should be BUSTING at the seams to tell ANYBODY and EVERYBODY what He has done for YOU!  PRAISE Him in the place that He has planted you!

If you can't tell ANYONE what He has done for you, then you need to change your situation by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE and in HEAVEN making intercession before God for you, then ACCEPT God's gift of SALVATION, and THEN you can TELL what He has done for YOU.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He's waiting!!
