People of the Light

You used to be like people living in the dark, but now you are people of the light because you belong to the Lord.  So act like people of the light and make your light shine.  Be good and honest and truthful, as you try to please the Lord.-----Ephesians 5:8-10

When I was a child, we use to sing a song titled, "This Little Light of Mine," and one phrase in the song was "hide it under a bushel, NO! I'm going to let it shine! Let it shine! Let it shine!"  Are you making your light shine for Jesus?

We once lived in darkness until someone let their LIGHT SHINE and that light dispelled the darkness and we were brought into the LIGHT and we were able to see our dark, sinful deeds.  We then knew that we NEEDED to come out of the darkness and into the LIGHT, and to live as people of the LIGHT because of what Jesus did on the cross for us.  He is the LIGHT of the world and in Him there is NO darkness.

As people of the LIGHT, we should act as such and be GOOD and HONEST and TRUTHFUL so that we might be pleasing to the Lord, and to shine our LIGHTS in the darkness to help bring others into the LIGHT.  So let your LIGHT shine for Jesus!

If you are living in the darkness, you can come into the light by doing these simple but LIFE-CHANGING steps:  CONFESS your sins to God and ask for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVE with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He's waiting!!!
