The Word

In the beginning was the one who is called the Word.  The Word was with God and was truly God.  John 1:1
God's Son was before all else and by Him everything is held together.  Colossians 1:17

In John 1:1, we are told that "In the beginning was the one who is called the Word."  That one is Jesus Christ, He was with God from the VERY BEGINNING of creation.  It also tells us that He not only was WITH God, but was /is TRULY God.  He is MORE than just the PERSONIFICATION of God, He IS God in the flesh.

Because He is God in the flesh, He has ALL the attributes of Holy God.  He is ALL powerful, All knowing, and is ALL present (everywhere at the same time).  In Colossians it tells us that "EVERYTHING is held together by Him," which is basically saying that "HE IS IN CONTROL!"

So since Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, and has ALL the POWER of the Almighty God, we can, with ASSURANCE, TRUST in His MIGHTY POWER to NOT ONLY SAVE us from our sins, but to KEEP us, because, as the scripture states:  EVERYTHING is HELD together by Him.

If you have NEVER turned your life over to God and are living with guilt and heartache, you can CHANGE that life-style by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART that Jesus, the Word, God's Son, God in the flesh, died for YOU, and is ALIVE today, in Heaven, making intercession for you before God the Father, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION. Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He's waiting!!!
