Preparing for Battle

Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.  Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.------Ephesians 6:13

I believe that we most certainly are living in the "time of evil."  It seems to surround us everyday.  But God does NOT leave His children defenseless and without HOPE.

He has provided us with exactly what we need to be victorious in this battle between GOOD and EVIL.  He has provided for each of His children an armor, one that is NOT made from metal, but one that is of His own design.  One that can endure through the fiercest battle.

We are instructed to put on the:  Belt of TRUTH, the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS, the sandals of the PREPARATION of the GOSPEL OF PEACE, to take up the shield of FAITH to stop the fiery arrows of the devil, then put on the helmet of SALVATION and last but definitely NOT least take up the SWORD of the SPIRIT, which is the WORD of GOD.

And when we have dressed for battle, we are READY to RESIST the enemy and will be VICTORIOUS over the battle, and will STILL be STANDING FIRM in our FAITH.  So EVERY day, make sure you are clad in God's armor and DON"T leave off one single piece or it could put your FAITH in mortal danger.

If you have NEVER given your heart to Jesus, you cannot put on the armor of God, because you do NOT possess it.  However God has provided a way for you to have His armor by following  these steps:  CONFESS your sins to God and ask for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He's waiting!!!
