"Faith by Itself is Dead"

“Faith by Itself is Dead”

 

…faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?  You see that his actions were working, and his faith was made complete by what he did.  

You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. 

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

James 2:17, 21-22, 24, 26

 

TRUE FAITH brings about RIGHTEOUSNESS, and TRUE FAITH is exemplified by its deeds. It’s one thing to PROFESS your FAITH, and another to actually POSSESS it.   Your actions or deeds are CONFIRMATION to a STRONG TRUE FAITH.

 

Abraham, through his OBEDIENCE to God, exemplified his TRUE FAITH, by carrying out God’s command to sacrifice his son, Isaac on the altar.  Through Abraham’s OBEDIENCE to God, we see his TRUE FAITH and his actions were working together, and because of this his FAITH was made complete. 

 

The Scripture tells us that because of Abraham’s FAITH and ACTIONS, he was considered RIGHTEOUS.  Of course, God stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac, and provided another sacrifice.  But Abraham’s OBEDIENT ACTIONS, exemplified his TRUE FAITH, and he was considered RIGHTEOUS.

 

As the body without the spirit is dead, so FAITH without DEEDS is DEAD.  If you are a TRUE BELIEVER, how is your FAITH?  Is it accompanied with ACTIONS or DEEDS?  If not then it is DEAD.  God expects us to put our FAITH to work and make it a TRUE, VIBRANT FAITH that is working with ACTIONS, which produces OBEDIENCE and RIGHTEOUSNESS before the Almighty God. 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are LOST and DYING without Jesus Christ.  You do NOT possess a TRUE FAITH in the Living God, and your ACTIONS are NOT the ACTIONS of a TRUE BELIEVER.  Your ETERNAL destiny is a place called Hell, the place of UNENDING, torment, torture, heartache, pain, agony, and despair.  However, God in His INFINITE MERCY and AMAZING GRACE has provided a way of escaping Hell, and gaining Heaven.  You MUST come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and put your FAITH into ACTION and be considered RIGHTEOUS before God.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
