"Carnally Minded or Spiritually Minded?"

“Carnally Minded or Spiritually Minded?”

 

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.  So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.      Romans 8:6-8

 

A CARNALLY minded person is a person whose mind is SET on the things of the flesh, the things that the flesh desires or lusts after.  A person who is NOT a TRUE BELIEVER, one who has NOT come to God for the SALVATION of their soul, one who seeks after worldly, fleshly, and ungodly things, which is enmity, or hostile against God.    And because they are CARNALLY- MINDED, in the FLESH, they CANNOT please God.  And their destiny is a place called Hell, which is devoid of ANYTHING that is GOOD and GODLY for ALL of ETERNITY, this is DEATH, SPIRITUAL DEATH, as well as the PHYSICAL DEATH.

 

A SPIRITUALLY minded person is a person whose mind is SET on SPIRITUAL things, they are those who have come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSED their sins to Him and have sought His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING that Jesus died for them and is ALIVE in Heaven making intercession for them.  They have been made RIGHTEOUS in God’s sight, and are PLEASING to God.

 

Now, the difference between the CARNALLY-MINDED person and the SPIRITUALLY-MINDED person is that the CARNALLY-MINDED person is one who lives their life according to the desires of their sinful nature, and usually they have NOT received the SALVATION of their soul.   

 

The SPIRITUALLY-MINDED person LIVES their life according to the desires of the HOLY SPIRIT, who indwells them and helps them live according to the WORD of the LIVING GOD.  They may fall into sin, occasionally, but they come under conviction, and then they CONFESS their sin to God, who is FAITHFUL and JUST to FORGIVE them of their sins.  The SPIRITUALLY-MINDED person DOES NOT live in their sinful-nature, but they are a NEW creature, one that has been REDEEMED by the blood of the Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and they have the HOPE of an ETERNITY in HEAVEN.

 

The question is:  Are you CARNALLY-MINDED or are you SPIRITUALLY-MINDED?  If you have NOT come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, then you are CARNALLY-MINDED, and your destiny is a place called Hell, but because of God’s LOVE and AMAZING GRACE, you NOW have the opportunity to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sin to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become SPIRITUALLY-MINDED.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
