 “The World’s Sin”

 

And when the Spirit comes, He will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s Righteousness, and of the coming Judgment.   The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in Me.  Righteousness is available because I go to the Father, and you will see Me no more.   John 16:8-10

 

 Jesus told His Disciples, the twelve men that was an IMPORTANT PART of His Ministry, what the Holy Spirit would be doing, after He went back to Father God.  One thing that He told them was: “I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of Truth.  He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about Me.  And you MUST also testify about Me because you have been with Me from the beginning of My Ministry.” (Jn. 15:23-25)

Now, Jesus describes to His Disciples the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT. The first thing Jesus told them was that when the Spirit came, He would take up residence within the BELIEVERS.  The Holy Spirit’s Ministry is to expose and prove wrong the world and its sin.  The Spirit will expose the world’s GUILT of putting Jesus Christ to DEATH, and for SIN in general.  I believe that the WORST SIN of ALL is UNBELIEF, which is the PRIMARY SIN of this WRETCHED WORLD, because ALL other SIN begins with UNBELIEF.

 In order to obtain RIGHTEOUSNESS, you MUST BELIEVE in the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Remember:  RIGHTEOUSNESS is having a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD, which is IMPOSSIBLE if you do NOT BELIEVE in HIM or His SON.  The SIN of UNBELIEF will send a person to an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  And to be a LOVER of the WORLD, but NOT A LOVER of GOD, will bring you CONDEMNATION and JUDGEMENT.  The ruler of this world, SATAN, has been JUDGED, and if the ruler is JUDGED, the WORLD is ALSO INVOLVED in this JUDGMENT.  So, are YOU an UNBELIEVER, who’s DESTINY is an ETERNAL LIFE in HELL?

If you are an UNBELIEVER, you STILL have the OPPORTUNITY to CHANGE that.  And this is what you MUST DO.  First, ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Then you MUST BELIEVE with ALL your HEART that JESUS DIED for YOU and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS. You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE and the THINGS of the WORLD.  And then, ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and RECEIVE an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be LEFT BEHIND!!!
