Throw Off Your Old Sinful Nature, Put On Your New Righteous Nature!

 

 

Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.  Instead let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.  Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live.  Remember, He has identified you as His own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.--------Ephesians 4:22-24, 30

 

 

When we TRULY give our HEART and LIFE to God, we, as His children, need to THROW off our old sinful nature and our former way of life, because of its corruptness, which is caused by lust and deception and turn away from the OLD SINFUL lifestyle, and leave it and all its entanglements behind.  Then put on our NEW RIGHTEOUS lifestyle and press FORWARD by allowing the Holy Spirit to RENEW our thoughts and attitudes.  Thoughts and attitudes that will honor and glorify our Lord.

 

Then we TRULY will become a NEW CREATION, one that has been to God’s workshop and has been refurbished by His master designer, His Holy Spirit, which indwells us and makes our OLD SINFUL nature, into a BRAND-NEW, MUCH IMPROVED, RIGHTEOUS and HOLY nature, which is created to be like God.

 

We are to work HARD at not bringing sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by clinging to sinful ways that we have allowed to creep back into our NEW nature.  We need to work HARD at RESPECTING and HONORING the PRESENCE of God’s Holy Spirit, who guarantees us of our SALVATION, something the devil would very much like to deceive us into believing that we have no SALVATION.  That Christ death on the cross was to no avail.  That BELIEVING in Him and our HOPE of SALVATION is futile.

 

But because of God’s wonderful, glorious Holy Spirit and His guarantee we can say with certainty that we belong to Him and will live for ALL eternity with Him in ALL the glories of Heaven.  Hallelujah!!!  That should make us want to SHOUT!

If you have never given your HEART and LIFE to Jesus, then you are still living with the OLD SINFUL nature and you have NO HOPE or GUARANTEE of Heaven.  You are destined for an eternity in Hell with NO way out, NO escape route, just pain, torment, heartache, and torture throughout ALL of eternity.  However you can change your destination by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and get RID of your OLD SINFUL nature and put on your NEW RIGHTEOUS and HOLY nature and change your destination.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
