Who Will You Compare God With?

 

 

Who will you compare God with?  What likeness will you compare Him to?  Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not considered the foundations of the earth?  God is enthroned above the circle of the earth; its inhabitants are like grasshoppers.  He stretches out the heavens like thin cloth and spreads them out like a tent to live in.  Do you not know? Have you not heard?  Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth.  He never grows faint or weary; there is no limit to His understanding, He gives strength to the weary and strengthens the powerless.  Youths may faint and grow weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.-------- Isaiah 40:18,21,22,28-31

 

 

How GREAT is our God!!  The Prophet Isaiah gives us some food for thought in these verses.  Have you ever looked around you and took notice of the earth and ALL that is on the earth?  Have you ever given thought to the miracle of birth?  Have you planted a garden or flowers and watched them grow from a tiny insignificant seed to a perfect, beautiful blossom and ask, “How can this be?”  ONLY the ALMIGHTY GOD has the wisdom and knowledge to be able to create this entire universe and scatter the stars across the vast heavens, then place the earth at just the right distance from the sun to make it livable for the crown of His creation. 

 

Oh the AWESOMENESS!  of the ALMIGHTY,  What is man?  That the God of this universe would care so much for mankind, that He would provide ALL that mankind needs to survive.  And then to provide us with a body that functions to give us the AWESOME abilities to think, reason, see, hear, smell taste, a heart that beats on its own, and lungs to breathe in the life-giving air that He so generously provides for ALL of His creation. 

 

But the MOST AMAZING part of Him and His crown of creation is the ability to LOVE.  He has given us the ability to love each other with brotherly love and He has a love of His own that far exceeds any kind of affection that we HAVE or EVER WILL experience, His AGAPE love.  The kind of love that compelled Him to send His ONLY SON to earth to be the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE for fallen mankind, to shed His precious blood to cover mankind’s sinful wretched heart and provide a way for them to spend ALL eternity  with Him in Heaven.

This is ONLY provided for those who put their FAITH and TRUST in Him and BELIEVE that He IS ABLE to do ALL that He PROMISES to do.  If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, and wonder who He is you can know by:  CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus, His ONLY Son, died for YOU and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and experience His AGAPE love and have the HOPE of spending eternity with Him.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
