"Pleasing in God's Sight!"

“Pleasing in God’s Sight!”

Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me.  Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.  May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord my Rock and my Redeemer.        Psalms 19:12-14

The Psalmist is imploring upon the ONLY One who can help him and KEEP him from ‘willful’ sins.  Sins committed on purpose, out of one’s own desires and carried out purposely.  His desire was that those ‘willful’ sins would NOT rule over him.  If he could KEEP from the ‘willful’ sins then he could be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.  He could be at peace with himself and with God.

Mankind is born with a sinful nature, and David knew that the ONLY way for him to be able to be free of guilt and innocent of such sins was to SEEK God’s MERCY and GRACE.  He was in need of the PERFECT sacrifice, something or someone to take away ALL of his sins.  At that time, the only thing David could do is to implore upon God to enable and to restrain him from such sins.

David ended his prayer for cleansing with a plea that his words and the meditation of his heart would be pleasing and acceptable in God’s sight.  He ended it with an ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that God was his ROCK and his REDEEMER.  Only God can FORGIVE us of our sins.  That FORGIVENESS is provided for ALL mankind, through the shed blood of His Only Begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is our PERFECT SACRIFICE.

We, who are TRUE Believers, who have been CLEANSED by the blood of Jesus, are not ‘sinless,’ we too, like David, need to pray daily for the cleansing from ANY and ALL ‘willful’ sins.  We need to SEEK God’s FORGIVENESS and be blameless and innocent before Him.

If you have not come to the Almighty God for the cleansing from your sins, then you are in NEED of a Savior, a Redeemer, someone, who is ABLE to provide for you the SALVATION of your soul.  That someone is, the Lord Jesus Christ, He and He alone is ABLE.   Don’t keep your soul in jeopardy of spending an eternity in Hell, but change your destiny NOW, by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be found BLAMELESS and INNOCENT before the Righteous Judge, the Almighty God.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
