“The Debt is Paid in Full!”

 

He erased the certificate of debt, with its obligations, that was against us and opposed to us, and has taken it out of the way by nailing it to the cross.          Colossians 2: 14

 

This “certificate of debt,” was the written law and it brought condemnation upon the people, it was against them and opposed them.  Since people cannot keep ALL of the Law, there then came a bill of indebtedness, which was like a handwritten “certificate of debt.”

 

God, in His compassion, infinite mercy, and amazing grace, had a plan to do away with the “certificate of debt,” by sending His Only Begotten Son to REDEEM mankind from the debt that THEY could not pay.  It could ONLY be PAID IN FULL by the shedding of the blood of a PERFECT, SPOTLESS LAMB, which is; the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

He CAME, He BLED, and He DIED!  Nailed to an old rugged wooden cross, and along with His precious hands and feet being nailed to that cross was the “certificate of debt,” PAID IN FULL for the sins of ALL mankind, from creation to the end of this wretched, old, sinful, world.

 

 

He paid the debt we owed and could NOT pay.  And wiped our slate CLEAN, CLEANSED by the blood of the PERFECT SPOTLESS LAMB of GOD.  Being unable to pay a debt brought about criminal charges, those criminal charges were taken away by the ACT of our RIGHTEOUS KING.

 

We have been RELEASED from our “chains of disobedience” and set FREE from our PRISON of sin, and are REDEEMED by the blood of the LAMB.  Praise God, we have been SET FREE!

 

We who have given our HEARTS and LIVES to Christ have the HOPE of Heaven and an ETERNITY with the FATHER and the SON.  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God in all sincerity and truthfulness, then you are still in those “chains of disobedience, “and a prison of sin.  You are destined for Hell and all of its torment, torture and despair for ALL of ETERNITY.  But God is giving you the opportunity, NOW, to change your destination by:  CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and has PAID IN FULL your “certificate of debt.” And is ALIVE in Heaven making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be RELEASED from the CHAINS OF DISOBEDIENCE and SET FREE from the PRISON of SIN!  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
