"People Pleasers?"

“People Pleasers?”

 

 

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?  Or am I trying to please people?  If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.          Galatians 1:10

 

I am seeing and hearing a lot of ‘PEOPLE PLEASING’ rhetoric NOW since we are in the national election period.   ALL of the politicians that are running for any office in the United States are making ALL KIND of promises that they cannot keep.   They are trying to PLEASE and WIN the APPROVAL of the American people.  But this is IMPOSSIBLE for ANYONE to accomplish. 

 

They cannot provide ALL that they PROMISE, and they know that, from the get-go, but they are trying to WIN the APPROVAL of the majority of people so they can WIN the election.  When they don’t do what they promised then the people grumble and complain, yet to NO avail, the people have to live with their choices, and the politicians risk not being re-elected. 

 

This is much the way a lot of Christians do, they try to WIN the APPROVAL of people, and forget their PROMISE to God.  They try to COMPROMISE their beliefs in order to ‘FIT’ into society.  But wait a minute, the BIBLE tells us that we are to be SEPARATED from the world.  (1John 2:15-17)  Can we TRULY acknowledge that we are not ‘LOVERS’ of this sinful, corrupt world and its ways?

 

God has provided SO MUCH for His TRUE Children, that we should not have the mind-set to ignore Him and push Him aside to try and be ‘PEOPLE PLEASERS’, but we should STRIVE to PLEASE the ONE who has given His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON as a sacrifice for our sins and to provide the WAY and means for us to spend ALL of eternity with Him.   If you are trying to PLEASE PEOPLE and NOT GOD, STOP IT!!!!!  You cannot do both, and you cannot PLEASE mankind here, without inviting trouble.     If you chose to be a PEOPLE PLEASER, you cannot be a TRUE SERVANT of CHRIST. That’s the Word of God!!

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are struggling in this “dog-eat-dog” world, trying to PLEASE PEOPLE, who can help you succeed.  And there always seems to be a price to be paid for their help.  You are NOW given an opportunity to leave the STRESS of trying to be a “PEOPLE PLEASER” by becoming a “GOD PLEASER.”    You do that by:  Coming to God, with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and STOP trying to be a ‘PEOPLE PLEASER’ and become a TRUE GOD PLEASER!!  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
