“The Cleanness of My Hands”

 

The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.   For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.  For All His judgments were before me, and I did not put away His statutes from me.  I was also blameless before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.  Therefore the Lord has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His sight.        Psalm 18:20-24

 

David, a man after God’s own heart.  David penned this psalm as a song to the Lord on the day that God delivered him from ALL his enemies.  It is a song of DELIVERANCE and PRAISE to the ONLY one who has the power to DELIVER mankind from their sins.

 

David was NOT sinless, there is ONLY ONE who was/is sinless, which is the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the SPOTLESS Lamb of the Living God.  But David, was a GIANT in his FAITH to his God.  He TRUSTED Him with ALL his HEART, and he sought after the things that would make him PLEASING to God, such as, OBEYING God’s statutes and decrees, which brought him into a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with God, and in God’s eyes David was RIGHTEOUS, because of the CLEANNESS of his HANDS, this did NOT mean that David had CLEAN HANDS, but that his life was BLAMELESS before God because David kept the ways of the Lord and he did NOT WICKEDLY leave God.  He WILLINGLY kept himself from his iniquity or sins. 

 

Therefore, God RECOMPENSED or REPAID David according to David’s RIGHTEOUSNESS, and the CLEANNESS of David’s hands.  Are you BLAMELESS and RIGHTEOUS in God’s sight?  Have you come to Him for the SALVATION of your soul?   Or is your soul headed for an ETERNITY in Hell, with ALL of its HORRORS, and NO WAY OF ESCAPE, because you are LIVING in SIN and your hands are NOT CLEAN? 

 

You have the opportunity NOW, to change your destiny, by TURNING AWAY FROM your sins and TURNING TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and be made RIGHTEOUS, according to the CLEANNESS of your HANDS, in God’s sight.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
