“Walking In the Newness of Life”

 

For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin.           Romans 6:5-7

 

“Walking In the Newness of Life,” just exactly what does this mean?  To WALK, means to LIVE.  So the Apostle Paul says we should WALK or LIVE in the NEWNESS of LIFE.  When a person comes to God for the FORGIVENESS of their sins.  They are indicating the desire to TURN AWAY from their OLD SINFUL lifestyle, and to TURN TO God, seeking a NEW LIFE.  A LIFE that is FREE from their sins.  A life that will bring HOPE and FAITH to a POOR, SIN-SICK SOUL.

 

When they come to God and ACCEPT ALL He has for them, they will be UNITED with Jesus Christ, in the likeness of His DEATH, through the act of baptism, and will also be in the likeness of His resurrection.  This indicates the crucifixion of one’s OLD SELF, so that their BODY of SIN might be DONE AWAY WITH, giving them FREEDOM from their OLD SINFUL LIFESTYLE, because they are RESURRECTED  to WALK or LIVE in the NEWNESS of LIFE.  They NOW have the HOPE of an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, and will have escaped the CONDEMNATION of an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL of its HORRORS.  They will be able to WALK in the NEWNESS of LIFE, a soul set FREE, a NEW CREATURE, living a life where ALL the OLD things have passed away and NEW things have come.   Would you like to be able to “WALK in the NEWNESS of LIFE, with the HOPE of Heaven?

 

In order to WALK in the NEWNESS of LIFE, and to LIVE a LIFE that is FREE from the slavery of sin, you MUST TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO God.  Seeking His FORGIVENESS, and BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a NEW CREATURE, who is “Walking In the Newness of Life,” FREE from the slavery of sin, with the HOPE of an ETERNITY in HEAVEN.  Start this NOW, by getting into a GOOD, BIBLE-BELIEVING, BIBLE-PREACHING and TEACHING CHURCH, with others who are “Walking In the Newness of Life.”   Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
