“Made to be Completely One!”

 

 

May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You.  May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me.  I am in them and You are in Me.  May they be made completely one, so the world may know You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me.-------John 17 :21,23

 

 

There is a concept in the world today for UNITY, but it is not a godly UNITY, but a worldly UNITY.  And because it is worldly in nature there are complications and flaws in the concept.  Because mankind is the author of this concept and it is one that is not profitable for the betterment of the world in which we presently reside.  Because of man’s sinful, worldly, fleshly desires to be the LEADER, we end up with too many who want to be LEADERS and not enough FOLLOWERS, and so the FIGHT to be the SUPREME LEADER ends the possibility of having UNITY in this present world.

 

Our Scripture today, is part of Jesus’ prayer for ALL BELIVERS, and it is concerning the UNITY of ALL BELIEVERS.  It is His heartfelt desire that ALL BELIEVERS, regardless of denomination be UNIFIED and NOT just UNIFIED together in our own little groups, but as His BODY, we are to come together to be a STRONG WITNESS to a LOST and DYING world, we sometimes are so caught up in doctrines that we forget or lose sight of the MAIN THING, and that is: BRINGING the LOST to JESUS CHRIST for the SALVATION of MANKIND.

 

There is a two-fold goal of the UNITY of the BELIEVERS, with each other, and with God; (1) that the world would BELIEVE in Christ’s divine mission and (2) that the world would be able to sense that God’s love for the BELIEVERS is DEEP, INTIMATE and LASTING, just as it is for His own beloved Son.

 

When we come together as ONE in the BODY OF CHRIST, we accomplish SO much more working together than we do working against each other.  In the end, the differences in doctrines will not be as important as the MAIN THING, THE SALVATION OF THE LOST! 

 

So I believe that Christ Jesus wants us to be UNIFIED, to come together, especially to reach a LOST and DYING world with ONE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT MESSAGE:  JESUS SAVES!  Let us LABOR in the FIELDS TOGETHER, because the night is coming when mankind’s work will CEASE.

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are a part of this LOST and DYING world, which one day will receive JUDGMENT for its SINS, from the Supreme God of this UNIVERSE.  You can ESCAPE this JUDGMENT by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and become a part of His GLORIOUS Body! Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting and coming soon!!!
