“Pleasing People or Pleasing God?”

 

 

I am not trying to please people.  I want to please God. Do you think I am trying to please people?  If I were doing that, I would not be a servant of Christ.--------Galatians 1:10

 

 

 

In this day and age, we have been saddled with the  burdensome task of being “politically correct,”  in other words we are to  compromise our ideals, our moral upbringing, and our faith, so that we do not offend anyone.  However in a lot of cases we, who are Christians, are offended, but it seems as if that is accepted by society. 

 

In this verse of Scripture we are encouraged by the Apostle Paul to NOT be ‘people pleasers.’ We as God’s Children, need to concentrate on PLEASING God and follow His laws and statutes.  After all, He is the ‘RIGHTEOUS JUDGE’ and in the end we will stand before Him, and NOT any other PEOPLE. 

 

We CANNOT and SHOULD NOT risk our righteousness by being ‘politically correct.’  Oh, I believe we need to be KIND, CONSIDERATE, LOVING, TRUTHFUL, TRUSTWORTHY and HONEST, but not willing to compromise our beliefs just to make those who might be living a sinful lifestyle or participating in a false religion, or may want to break the laws of this NATION and expect to be free from the laws, feel not OFFENDED.

 

We, as a nation, are playing around with a powder keg of destruction and heartache.  We are allowing the bad things to become good things, the norm, while the good things become the bad things.  It saddens my heart to know that what USED to be a GREAT and POWERFUL nation is becoming a HODGE PODGE of lawlessness and blatant sin, causing us to reap what we have been sowing, a nation of CORRUPTNESS, SINFULNESS, IMMORALITY, and HATRED. 

 

We as a nation and a people NEED to turn back to the ALMIGHTY GOD, seek His face and beg for His forgiveness, and be determined to PLEASE HIM and not be men-pleasers.  We NEED to be determined to FOLLOW His laws and statutes.  He is the ALMIGHTY, EVERLASTING, HOLY and RIGHTEOUS God, and we are HIS creation.

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to Him, and are trying to PLEASE everyone, but HIM, you are in DANGER of spending an ETERNITY in TORMENT, TORTURE, HEARTACHE, DESPAIR and AGONY forever, with NO way out.  You can, however change your destination by:  CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and PLEASE Him.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting, and coming SOON!!!
