“Firm in the Faith”

 

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.  Do everything in love.         1 Corinthians 16:13-14

 

The words of this verse seem to resonate throughout the Word of God, in many different parts of the Bible, and is used to ENCOURAGE the BODY of BELIEVERS, as to their frame of mind and the attitude of their HEART, especially when they are facing difficult times or UNCERTAIN TIMES.  I believe that God has led me to this Scripture to HELP us REALIZE the POWER and POSSIBILITIES we have to be ABLE to PERSERVERE and to NOT GIVE UP, in our SERVICE to Him.

 

First, we are to BE ON GUARD, or to be ALERT, WATCHFUL, CAUTIOUS, VIGILANT, and OBSERVANT of the things happening around us.  We are to be OPEN-EYED, and aware of our environment.  We are to NOT be SLUGGISH and UNAWARE of the situations we find ourselves in.  And when we seem OVERWHELMED, with the situation we can DEPEND on God to get us through, because we are ON GUARD, and not caught OFF GUARD, and vulnerable to Satan’s tactics.

Next, we are to STAND FIRM in the FAITH. We are NOT to WAVER in our FAITH in the ALMIGHTY GOD, but we are to be STEADFAST, and SURE of what we BELIEVE.  We are to be FIRM in our PURPOSE as a BELIEVER.  We are to be UNWAVERING, and FIRMLY ESTABLISHED in our FAITH in God, and PLACING our TRUST TOTALLY in Him alone.   He is our REDEEMER, ROCK, REFUGE, and our STRONG and MIGHTY TOWER, in Him we TRUST.

 

We SHOULD be COURAGEOUS and STRONG.  I believe we, as ALMIGHTY GOD’S People are facing some VERY difficult days ahead of us.  And IF we are able to face these difficult times, we are going to have to be COURAGEOUS and STRONG in our FAITH in God.  In order to be COURAGEOUS and STRONG, we NEED to be PRAYER WARRIORS, and ALWAYS be in an ATTITUDE of PRAYER.  We NEED to put ON the FULL ARMOR of GOD, so that when the day of evil comes, we will be able to stand our ground, and after we have done EVERYTHING to STAND, we SHOULD STAND FIRM in our FAITH, being FULLY CLOTHED with the ARMOR of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  (Ephesians 6:10-17) And in EVERYTHING you do, DO IT IN LOVE, ESPECIALLY the LOVE you have for the LORD GOD and His Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the REDEEMER of ALL mankind.

 

 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God you are already affected by Satan’s tactics, and on your way to an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  This is NOT what GOD wants for you.  It is HIS desire that NO ONE PERISHES in HELL, but that ALL would come to REPENTANCE, and spend their ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  In order to do that you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION and STAND FIRM in your FAITH, by being COURAGEOUS and STRONG, and doing EVERYTHING in LOVE.   Do these things NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
