“The New Covenant”

 

“This is the New Covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,” says the LORD: “I will put My Laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts.  I will be their God, and they will be My People.  And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should KNOW the LORD.’  For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will KNOW Me already.  And I will NEVER again REMEMBER their sins.”              Hebrews 8:10-12

 

Throughout the Ages, God has formed COVENANTS with different individuals and also with the Nation of Israel.  The Covenant with Israel is known as the Old Covenant, which was the Law.  And the Old Testament Saints were to LIVE and WORSHIP according to the OLD COVENANT.  But the Old Covenant had many faults, mankind was not holding up their end of the Covenant and it fell short of providing SALVATION and a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP between the people and their Creator God.  Therefore, the Old Covenant’s failure was because of the SINFULNESS of the nation.  So, God PROMISED a NEW COVENANT, that WOULD be PROFITABLE for the SALVATION of not ONLY the Nation of Israel, but it would also be beneficial to ALL Christians, since the Cross. 

 

This NEW COVENANT or AGREEMENT, is UNCONDITIONAL, and the OLD CONVENANT was CONDITIONAL.  The NEW CONVENANT, whose MEDIATOR, or ADVOCATE, is the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONE and ONLY Son, who was the ONLY ONE who COULD SEAL the CONVENANT between mankind and God.  Here are some accomplishments which are provided through the New Covenant:  An inner DESIRE to OBEY God, a FIRM, CLOSE RELATIONSHIP with God, a PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE of God, and FORGIVENESS of our SINS, which He will REMEMBER NO MORE.

 

This FORGIVENESS and SALVATION, can ONLY be accomplished through the CROSS of CHRIST, and the BLOOD of the NEW COVENANT.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  CONFESS your sins to Him, and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.   BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, and RECEIVE, HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, as your ETERNAL HOME, and be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS.  So, enter into this NEW COVENANT, by doing the things above, NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and      COMING SOON!!!
