“Crucified with Christ”

 

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for Me.         Galatians 2:20

 

There are many people who believe that if they live a “good” life, they are guaranteed a place in Heaven when they close their eyes in death.  Some believe that if you keep ALL the Ten Commandments, which is IMPOSSIBLE to do, and when you break one, you have broken all of them.  Yet some believe these two things will secure you a place in Heaven.  This is NOT true, but it is a deception of Satan.

 

The Apostle Paul tells us that in order to be JUSTIFIED in Christ Jesus, we need to be CRUCIFIED with Christ, so that it is not us who LIVES, but it is Christ who LIVES in us.  So what does it mean to be CRUCIFIED with Christ?  Well, for sure, it doesn’t mean that we hang on a cross until our life ebbs from us, but it means that we WILLINGLY GIVE up our OLD, SINFUL life-style, nailing it to the cross, and YIELDING our WILL and WAYS to Jesus Christ, allowing Him to LIVE in us by the POWER of His HOLY SPIRIT, who will take up residency in our HEARTS, when we SURRENDER to Him, and BELIEVE that He is the Son of the Living God, and the ONLY WAY to receive JUSTIFICATION and SALVATION.

 

Paul says that, “the life I NOW live in the body, I live by FAITH in the Son of God.” He no longer is TRYING to KEEP ALL of the Law in order to be JUSTIFIED, but He is NOW living by FAITH in his ONLY HOPE, the Lord Jesus Christ, for SALVATION and an ETERNITY in Heaven. 

 

Jesus Christ, who NEVER sinned nor possessed a sinful nature, willingly came to this earth to SEEK and to SAVE those who were LOST in their SINS, and in NEED of JUSTIFICATION and SALVATION.  He WILLINGLY gave up His own LIFE to save the soul of fallen mankind, who are destined for an ETERNITY in that HORRIBLE place called HELL, the place of NO RETURN, the place of torment, torture, pain, heartache agony, and despair, magnified many times over. 

 

Is this YOUR destiny?  It is, if you have NOT come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING, your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of JUSTIFICATION and SALVATION, then be CRUCIFIED with Christ Jesus, by nailing your OLD, SINFUL life to the cross, and ALLOW Christ to LIVE in you, through the POWER of His HOLY SPIRIT.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
