“Helper, Refuge, Strength, Defense
and SALVATION!”
When hard
pressed, I cried to the Lord; He brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be
afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? The Lord is with me; He is my Helper. I look in triumph on my enemies.
It is better
to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans.
The Lord is
my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation. Psalms 118: 5-8, 14
At some
point in a person’s life, they WILL face hardships or problems. You cannot escape the eventuality of this
part of life, while you are living on this earth, participating and interacting
with other human beings. It is
inevitable, and you will have to deal with the reality of living in a LOST and
DYING world.
Corruption,
hatred, vindictiveness, and evil, wicked acts carried out on even the
innocents. All these things and MORE,
are escalating, and plaguing our very livelihood. The bad is being considered to be the good,
and the good is being considered to be the bad.
We have no
idea as to how really BAD things will get, before God allows His Son to step
out into the clouds and call His TRUE CHILDREN home to live with Him for ALL of
ETERNITY. My question to you is: “Who do
or who will you call on in your times of hardships and trouble? Will it be another human being, who is
probably got their own problems and hardships, or will it be the ONLY ONE who
can actually DO something to HELP you?”
That would be God and God alone.
The
Psalmist, I believe to have been King David, KNEW first- hand, who to go to for
HELP in His time of troubles and distress.
He said that when his enemy came against him, he was NOT afraid, because
the Lord was with him. The Lord was his
HELPER, so what could mortal man do to him?
He also tells us that God is his REFUGE, or SAFE PLACE, and it is BETTER
to TRUST in the Lord God, than to TRUST in humans.
He goes on
to say that God is his STRENGTH, DEFENSE and his SALVATION. God was his ASSURANCE, and he was calm and at
peace, until the storm passed by. Do you
have that ASSURANCE that you will have a HELPER, REFUGE, STRENGTH, DEFENSE, and
SALVATION, when your storm passes by?
Will you be a SURVIVOR or a VICTIM of the circumstances? You can have that ASSURANCE by coming to God
with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His
FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is
ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift
of SALVATION, and be ASSURED of a HELPER, REFUGE, STRENGTH, DEFENSE, and SALVATION.
TIME IS RUNNING OUT! Do it NOW, while you still can. He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
