“The Renowned Faith”

 

And the Lord’s teaching spread from you not only into Macedonia and Southern Greece, but now your faith in God has become known everywhere.  So we do not need to say anything about it.  People everywhere are telling about the way you accepted us when we were there with you.  They tell how you stopped worshiping idols and began serving the living and true God.  And you wait for God’s Son, to come from heaven.  He is Jesus, who saves us from God’s angry judgement that is sure to come.         1 Thessalonians 1:8-10

 

In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonian believers, he commends them for their STRONG, FAITH, a FAITH that was RENOWNED everywhere.  They were in essence, a TRUE WITNESS of God’s SAVING POWER and His AMAZING GRACE.   And they shared what God had done for them, and was STILL doing in their lives. 

 

No, they didn’t have social media to get the word out, but EVERYWHERE they went, and EVERYONE they met was an opportunity for them to grasp, and to SHARE the GOOD NEWS. So they did just that.  They shared about the DIFFERENCE God had made in their lives, by DELIVERING them out of idol-worship, and had BROUGHT them into His presence, where they abide, SERVING and WORSHIPING the ONE and ONLY TRUE LIVING GOD.  This SHOULD be a CHALLENGE for every TRUE BELIEVER, today.   Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:14:  “You are the light that gives light to the world.  A city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden.”   Acts 22:15 says:  “You will be His witness to all people, telling them about what you have seen and heard.” 

 

As TRUE BELIEVERS, are we SHARING what God has done and is STILL doing in our lives, to ALL we meet and wherever we go?  Are we making EVERY EFFORT to SPREAD the GOOD NEWS, that JESUS SAVES, and is the ONLY WAY to get to Heaven?  Are we putting out the WARNING that Jesus is coming SOON, and He is the ONE who will save us from the coming, ANGRY WRATH of God?  WE SHOULD BE doing ALL of this and whatever else we need to do, to get the LOST to God. 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God then you are one of the LOST, and you are facing God’s ANGRY WRATH, along with an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of FOREVER pain, torment, torture, agony, heartache and despair, to name just a few of what is waiting for you, UNLESS, you TURN AWAY from your SINFUL life-style and COME to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and have a RENOWNED FAITH, which you will be willing to SHARE with a LOST and DYING WORLD.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
