“Not a People Pleaser”

 

For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you.   On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel.  We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.                                       1 Thessalonians 2:3-4

 

For the TRUE BELIEVER, we have been called and set apart by God, for specific works.  The Good News that is preached and taught by those called to do so, SHOULD be done not by ERROR, LIES, or for WRONG REASONS, or IMPURE MOTIVES.  It should be done with a PURE HEART, and only under the LEADERSHIP of God’s Holy Spirit. 

 

A preacher who preaches the Word of God in this manner, is often turned out of his church, because many PEOPLE in the churches, today want to hear a social gospel, not so much the Word of God.  They don’t want to hear the TRUTH, just words that make them FEEL-GOOD.  They don’t want to hear anything that would bring CONVICTION into their HEARTS.  And cause them to get SERIOUS with God about their relationship with Him.  They just like to have their ears tickled and be able to CONTINUE doing what they SHOULD NOT do.

 

The Apostle Paul, tells the Thessalonian Church, that the messages they PREACH and TEACH are not done from ERROR or IMPURE MOTIVES nor are they trying to TRICK them, but they speak as being APPROVED by God and are ENTRUSTED with the gospel.   And when they speak, they are NOT trying to PLEASE PEOPLE but they are SPEAKING the TRUTH in order to PLEASE GOD.

 

ALL TRUE BELIEVERS should try to PLEASE GOD in ALL they do, because He is the one who TESTS our HEARTS.  And if you are SERVING God in order to PLEASE PEOPLE, regardless of how much you WATER-DOWN the TRUTH or COMPROMISE to make PEOPLE HAPPY, you are SINNING against the ALMIGHTY GOD.   And if you are NOT a TRUE BELIEVER, one, who has NOT given their HEART and LIFE to God, the TRUTH IS; you are DESTINED for an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL of its HORRORS, and NO WAY of ESCAPE.  But God in His INFINITE MERCY and AMAZING GRACE, is offering you the opportunity to ESCAPE HELL, NOW, and to GAIN HEAVEN.  You MUST TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then you MUST CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then you MUST ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and ESCAPE HELL and GAIN HEAVEN.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
