“Being Led By Lawless People!”

 

 

Therefore, dear friends, since you know this in advance, be on your guard, so that you are not led away by the error of lawless people and fall from your own stability.  But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be glory both now and to the day of eternity.  Amen.          2Peter 3:17-18

 

Our beloved nation is in SERIOUS trouble, we have exchanged MORALS for IMMORALITY, LIFE for DEATH, LOVE for HATRED, CARING for UNCARING, and MANY RIGHTS for ALL KINDS of WRONGS.  We have elected people into our highest offices in the land, on the basis of attributes that are FAR from their QUALIFICATIONS.  And NOW, this is what we REAP, because of what is SOWN. 

 

The Apostle Peter, WARNS the people, concerning being led by “LAWLESS” people, who are people that are not following the rule of the LAWS of God, instead they are following their own SELFISH desires and ambitions, believing that they are ABOVE the LAW, and are leading others down a DANGEROUS, TREACHEROUS, path of DESTRUCTION.  Peter says: “Since you KNOW this in ADVANCE” meaning that they have been FOREWARNED and are WITHOUT EXCUSE!  They should be on GUARD and ALERT to the WAYS of such LAWLESSNESS, and flee from them.  He also WARNS them to remain STABLE in their FAITH. 

 

When mankind FOLLOWS the LAWS of God, a nation is STRENGTHENED, and PROSPEROUS, but the nation that is LED by the LAWLESS people are DOOMED to DESTRUCTION.  Throughout the history of mankind we have seen this played out many times and KNOW that it is TRUE.  Just look at the demise of the ROMAN EMPIRE, who was led by people of a LAWLESS NATURE, who disregarded the LAWS of God and followed their own SELFISH DESIRES and AMBITIONS.  Where is it TODAY?  It doesn’t exist.   Is that the future of our ONCE GREAT Nation?  I PRAY NOT. 

 

In a few months, the FUTURE of our nation will be in the HANDS of the PEOPLE.  BE CAREFUL, who you FOLLOW, INVESTIGATE, PRAY, SEEK GOD’S DIRECTION! 

 

The conclusion of Peter’s letter says GROW in the GRACE and KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  And following God’s LAWS is what is going to SAVE our Nation.  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you can’t follow His laws very well, until you do.  You can do that by:  Coming to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART and CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and become a FOLLOWER of God’s laws, and bring GLORY to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
