“The Marks of Jesus”

 

 

From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.          Galatians 6:17

 

The Apostle Paul and his messages had been scrutinized by the Judaizes.  I believe Paul was kind of tired of their rhetoric and persecution.  He asked that the trouble they were causing come to an end.

 

Paul offered a final proof of his credentials, the MARKS of Jesus, like the brands that were put on cattle and slaves.  He was referring to the scars that he bore on his body caused by the persecution because of His relationship with Jesus Christ. 

 

Many of Paul’s scars were on the flesh, caused by physical torture, but he also was persecuted in his spirit by the verbal abuse that he confronted continually.  These MARKS were the brand he wore that identified him as a SLAVE for Jesus. 

 

We aren’t tortured or persecuted, like some might be in other areas of the world, and may not carry the scars physically, but we may carry the SPIRITUAL SCARS from being persecuted verbally for our faith.  If we will, like the Apostle Paul, stand STEADFAST in our FAITH, and proudly bear those MARKS of Jesus, and be STRONG and COURAGEOUS!  God will richly reward us for our PERSERVERANCE.

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you do NOT have the MARKS of Jesus, instead you are bearing the MARKS or BRAND of Satan, and will end up in Hell, the place of torment, torture, pain, agony and misery for all eternity.  However, you have the opportunity to be BRANDED for Jesus, and receive eternal life in Heaven NOW, by:  Coming to God with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and proudly bear the MARKS of Jesus.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
