Faith through Hearing

 

 

So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.--------Romans 10:17

 

 

I had the AWESOME privilege of leading two precious, little souls into God’s Family, during our Vacation Bible School.  And I believe that their FAITH began to blossom at that exact time that God blessed them with His AWESOME gift of SALVATION.

 

They would NOT have been able to have FAITH in Almighty God without HEARING about Him and His love for them.  FAITH comes through HEARING about the love of God, through the SACRIFICE of His ONLY SON, Jesus Christ. 

 

If I would have talked about dinosaurs or princesses, they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to UNDERSTAND and ACCEPT God’s love for them.  Since I talked about God’s LOVE and their opportunity to ACCEPT His LOVE and become a part of His family and to be able to spend eternity in Heaven with Him, they were HEARING, BELIEVING, and ACCEPTING by FAITH the message of the GOOD NEWS:  JESUS and ONLY JESUS SAVES. They ACCEPTED what they HEARD by FAITH.

 

This is why it is SO important that we who are God’s Children TELL about His LOVE, MERCY and GRACE for ALL mankind.  We are to be His feet, hands and His mouth.  We are to be a WITNESS of what God has done for us and can do for others.  We NEED to TELL it, so others who need it, can HEAR it and ACCEPT it by FAITH. 

 

God’s love for the crown of His creation is so WONDERFUL and AWESOME that we should be SHOUTING it from the rooftops.  So this lost and dying world can HEAR about a SAVIOR who has come to free them from their bondage of sin and bring them to SALVATION and into God’s AWESOME family by FAITH.

 

If you have not had the opportunity to HEAR and ACCEPT the love that God has for you.  You have that opportunity NOW.  He loves YOU and wants you to be a part of His Family.  LISTEN, this is how you ACCEPT His love, by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION by FAITH and become a part of His AWESOME Family.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
