Unity through the Cross

 

 

Christ has made peace between Jews and Gentiles, and He has united us by breaking down the wall of hatred that separated us.  Christ gave His own body.  On the cross Christ did away with our hatred for each other.  He also made peace between us and God by uniting Jews and Gentiles in one body.  And because of Christ, all of us can come to the Father by the same Spirit.--------Ephesians 2:14,16,18

 

 

The work of Christ on the cross was more than for the SALVATION of mankind, it also provided UNITY among the Jews and those who were not Jews, the Gentiles and who were a part of God’s family.  He broke down the walls of hostility and hatred with the SUPREME SACRIFICE of His broken body on an old rugged cross and provided PEACE and UNITY.

 

He also provided the PEACE that we need to be able to come to Father God, by bringing us ALL together in one body.  This makes us ALL a part of the SAME family, the FAMILY of GOD.  But you can ONLY come and be a part of that AWESOME family of God by way of the CROSS.

 

When we come to Christ for SALVATION we are brought into His Spiritual body and we are to work, serve and live in UNITY in His body.  We are to FOLLOW the leadership of His Spirit and ALLOW His Spirit to work in and through us, in order to be ALL that Father God wants us to be.

 

We are to LEAVE our OLD, SINFUL, FLESHLY ways and attitudes in the past and live a NEW, SPIRIT-FILLED, GODLY life, a life that has been set FREE from the past and the things of the past.  And to work TOGETHER in UNITY for the GLORY of God and His Kingdom.

 

The devil would love nothing more than to be able to DIVIDE the Spiritual body of Christ through HATRED and HOSTILITIES among God’s Children.  It is EXTREMELY important that we DO NOT let that happen.  We must DEPEND on the Holy Spirit to work in us to KEEP it from happening by YIELDING ourselves to Him.

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and Life to God, you are NOT a part of His AWESOME family. And you are more than likely, living with HATRED and HOSTILITIES in your heart and that can cause a lot of problems, but you can be set FREE from the HATRED and HOSTILITIES that are in your heart by coming to the CROSS and:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and become a part of His AWESOME family.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
