One Body with Many Parts
The body of
Christ has many different parts, just as any other body does.
…God put our
bodies together in such a way that even the parts that seem the least important
are valuable. He did this to make all
parts of the body work together smoothly, with each part caring about the
others. If one part of our body hurts,
we hurt all over. If one part of our
body is honored, the whole body will be happy.
Together you
are the body of Christ. Each one of you
is part of His body.--------1Corinthians 12:12,24, 25, 26, 27
The human
body has always amazed me with different parts and each one having a separate,
distinct function. Each part working
TOGETHER, yet separate, to function as ONE body.
So it is
with the body of Christ. Even before a
person is conceived in the womb, God has predestined in which part of the body
they will function. When the LORD spoke
to the Prophet Jeremiah, He said: “Jeremiah,
I am your Creator, and before you were born, I chose you to speak for me to the
nations.” (Jeremiah
1:4&5).
So it is
with ALL of God’s Children, we are His workmanship and He places us where we
will best fit into the body of Christ.
The problem being is some want to be a
foot when God has predestined them to be the elbow they want to be the
foot because they think they would receive more attention or have more value to
the body, but our Scripture says that: “even the parts that SEEM the least
important are VALUABLE.
It is His
plan, He did this to make ALL parts of the body able to work TOGETHER in
UNITY. Can you just imagine if everyone
wanted to be or tried to be the same part?
What kind of body would that be, and how useful would it be?
We, as God’s
Children need to ALLOW God to place us within the body of Christ, wherever He
has chosen for us to be, and then we need to function as the part that we have
been chosen to be. And then we should
function caring about the other parts.
If one part of the body hurts ALL parts of the body hurts. If one part of the body is honored, ALL the
parts are happy. We then are the body of
Christ. Each one a separate, but
distinct part of His body working TOGETHER in UNITY. This is the will of God.
If you have
not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you cannot be a part of the body of
Christ. You must come to Him by: CONFESSING your sins to God, asking Him for
His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and
is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His
gift of SALVATION, and be what God has predestined you to be, in the body of
Christ. Do it NOW, while you STILL can. He’s waiting!!!
