Earthly Body versus Heavenly Body
Just as we
were made like the man of earth, so we will also be made like the Man of
Heaven. I tell you this brothers and
sisters: Flesh and blood cannot have a
part in the kingdom of God. Something
that will ruin cannot have a part in something that never ruins. So this body that can be destroyed will
clothe itself with that which can never be destroyed and this body that dies
will clothe itself with that which can never die. When this happens, this Scripture will be
made true: “Death is destroyed forever
in victory.” (Isaiah 25:8)--------1Corinthians 15:49, 50, 54
Many of God’s
Children wonder how our EARTHLY bodies will be changed when Christ comes to
call us home. What will we look like and
what will we be able to do? These are
but a few things that we have a healthy curiosity about.
In the
verses above, the Apostle Paul addresses these questions for the Church in
Corinth. He tells them that we were made
like the man of the earth, who would be Adam.
We too, were made with a body that will ruin with rot and decay. However when we give our HEART and LIFE to
Christ, we then become like Him and will receive a NEW body that will NOT ruin
with rot and decay it will be made into a HEAVENLY BODY, like Paul said, “Something
that will ruin cannot have a part in something that NEVER ruins.”
We will be
changed from CORRUPTIBLE and clothed with INCORRUPTIBILITY and this MORTAL body
will be clothed with IMMORTALITY. This transformation will take place in a
blink of an eye. This poor, weak,
imperfect body will be transformed into a perfect, powerful body that will live
for all eternity. The body that was sown
a natural body will then be raised a spiritual body.
When this
takes place, then the Scripture in Isaiah will come about: “Death is destroyed forever in victory.” And those who have been adopted into God’s
Family will be made BRAND NEW! PERFECT
in EVERY way.
If you have
not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then your body will not change for the
better, you will experience pain, misery, and torment for ALL eternity. It’s not a pretty picture. But I am here to tell you that you can change
that scenario by; CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His
FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is
ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift
of SALVATION and receive that BRAND NEW, INCORRUPTIBLE, PERFECT BODY that will
live forever in Heaven. Do it NOW, while
you STILL can. He’s waiting!!!
