“A Believing Heart and a Confessing Mouth”

 

 

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.          Romans 10:10

 

 

SALVATION is a HEART thing.  It is NOT attainable because you have a HEAD knowledge of it.  But the Holy Word of the Living God says:  “For with the HEART one BELIEVES unto RIGHTEOUSNESS.”  We are JUSTIFIED when we BELIEVE in our HEART, and CONFESS with our MOUTH that the Lord Jesus died for our sins, and was raised by God from the dead, then we are able to obtain SALVATION.

 

It is a sad thing, but many will THINK they are saved, because they ACCEPT the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, in their MINDS, but it never becomes a HEART thing.   They will miss Heaven by about fourteen inches, the distance between the MIND and the HEART.  They have not come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING their sins, and ACCEPTING His gift of SALVATION, then PROFESSING that He is their Lord and Savior. 

 

Some believe that going to church and maybe even having a position in the church, makes them a TRUE BELIEVER, but that is NOT TRUE.  They may have grown-up in church, but have never come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING with their MOUTH their sins and PROFESSING Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  They may think that because they have ALWAYS been to church that that makes them a TRUE BELIEVER, this too is NOT TRUE.  If you go and stand in a garage for a couple of hours, that doesn’t make you car.  The point is there is ONLY ONE way of obtaining SALVATION.  It must be a HEART-BELIEVING, LIFE-CHANGING, experience.

 

You can obtain SALVATION, when the Holy Spirit offers you the invitation to COME to God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, willingly turning away from your sins and turning to Christ.  CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before GOD, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a TRUE BELIEVER, with ALL your HEART, CONFESSING that JESUS CHRIST is your LORD and SAVIOR.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
