“What Awaits the True Believer”

 

 

But our citizenship is in Heaven.  And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.         Philippians 3:20-21

 

TRUE BELIEVERS, all over this world, are ANXIOUSLY awaiting their departure, from this temporary home to their ETERNAL HOMELAND, HEAVEN, where their TRUE CITIZENSHIP lies.

 

Why are they ANXIOUSLY awaiting to go to a place that they have NEVER been to?  And how can they call it their HOMELAND?  It’s because they belong to God, they are HIS Family, HIS Children, and therefore, they have a deep seeded desire to be where their Father and family are.

 

I guess you could say that this is a SUPER-NATURAL feeling, which every TRUE BELIEVER possesses in their heart.  When we come to God for the SALVATION of our soul, we are ADOPTED into His Family and we become His Children.  And our CITIZENSHIP in Heaven is part of our inheritance. 

 

We, who are TRUE BELIEVERS, wait for the return of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, from Heaven, to take us away from this TEMPORARY abode, to our ETERNAL abode.  In order for our earthly bodies to be able to stand ALL the GLORIES of Heaven, they MUST be changed, and the Lord Jesus Christ will perform that miracle by the power that enables Him to bring EVERYTHING under His control.

 

In the twinkling of an eye, ALL the bodies of the TRUE BELIEVERS will be changed from these corrupt, sinful, bodies to incorrupt, sinless, bodies.  Bodies, which will NEVER DIE, bodies that will have NO limitations, NO pain, NO sickness, NO brokenness, and NO SIN.  But will be made PERFECT in EVERYWAY.   This too is part of our inheritance.

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are NOT a TRUE BELIEVER, and your citizenship is NOT in Heaven, but in this wretched, sin-laden, world, and your body will NOT be changed to a GLORIFIED body, but will experience all the horrors of HELL, torment, torture, pain, heartache, agony and despair.  However, God is giving you the opportunity to come to Him and be adopted into His Family, and receive a CITIZENSHIP in Heaven, and a GLORIFIED BODY, for ALL ETERNITY.  You MUST come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and wait ANXIOUSLY for the RETURN of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.   Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
