“My Sacrifice”

 

 

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, you, God, will not despise.        Psalm 51:17

 

When a person comes to Christ for the FORGIVENESS of their sins.  They must come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, which means that they come with an attitude of HEART-FELT conviction and are BROKEN in their spirit, over their sins and short-comings.  They have a deep desire to TURN-AWAY or REPENT of their sins, and to ACCEPT God’s FORGIVENESS. 

 

They must come with a CONTRITE HEART, which means that they have a DEEP SORROW in their HEART for their transgressions or sins.  They are TRULY SORRY for their sins, and they KNOW they are in desperate NEED of being CLEANSED from their sins. 

 

Then they NEED to CONFESS their sins to God, and ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION.  Some people have a KNOWLEDGE of God’s plan of SALVATION, but they don’t possess it in their HEART, and that makes them just as lost as when they first heard of that plan.  It all comes to the fact that it MUST be a HEART change, which will turn into a LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE.  Otherwise, they have nothing to count on---NO HOPE. 

 

Jesus Christ became our ONCE and for ALL SACRIFICE.  He suffered and went to an old, rugged cross, and shed His blood for the remission of our sins.  Our SACRIFICE to God is a BROKEN SPIRIT and a CONTRITE HEART.  Are you willing to offer your SACRIFICE to God? 

 

You can do that NOW, by coming to Him, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART and a BROKEN SPIRIT, CONFESSING your sins to Him and, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and offer yourself to Him, as a LIVING SACRIFICE that is WHOLLY ACCEPTABLE to Him.  Do it NOW, while you still can He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
