“This is NOT the Father’s Gravy Train!”

 

 

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God, and receive from Him anything we ask, because we keep His commands and do what pleases Him.  And this is His command:  to believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as He commanded us.        1John 3:21-23

 

When a person comes to God for the SALVATION of their soul, they NEED to come with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, in order to receive the SALVATION.  When they do this, they come with a HEART that does NOT condemn them, but instead gives them CONFIDENCE before God, not disrespect or haughtiness, but CONFIDENCE to enter His presence, KNOWING He will ACCEPT them and HEAR their requests.

 

Some people treat God as though He has a BIG GRAVY TRAIN, and will dish out anything and everything they desire, and ALL they have to do is ASK.  But according to our Scripture, this is NOT TRUE.  There are a few stipulations to His goodness and generosity, and their requests must be in accordance to His will.  All of His commands are wrapped up in a single COMMAND, which includes FAITH and LOVE. 

 

FAITH, is to BELIEVE in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and LOVE, is that we genuinely LOVE one another.  A person who has NOT come to God for the SALVATION of their soul, can NOT come into God’s presence, asking for ANYTHING, until they have come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING their sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL their HEART, that Jesus died for them, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for them, before God, then they NEED to ACCEPT God’s gift of SALVATION, and develop a CONFIDENT prayer-life, which will be BENEFICIAL to them in their Christian walk, and practice LOVING one another with a godly-type love, this will be their OBEDIENCE to God’s commands.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
