"God's Choice!"

“God’s Choice!”

 

 

 …God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong.  God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world---what is viewed as nothing---to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one can boast in His presence.          1Corinthians 1:27-29

 

God is NO respecter of persons, Acts 10:34&35 says; “Now I really understand that God doesn’t show favoritism, but in every nation the person who fears Him and does righteousness is acceptable to Him.”  God is the God of ALL people, regardless of their standing in this wretched old world. 

 

The Scripture says that: “God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and what is weak in the world to shame the strong.  The FOOLISHNESS of God is WISER than the wisdom of mankind, and the WEAKNESS of God is stronger than any human strength. 

 

So it is, that the God of the Universe, DOES NOT choose the very elite of this world, based on their standing in society.  He doesn’t look for the wisest of mankind, because of THEIR wisdom, nor does He look for the STRONGEST person, because of their physical prowess. 

 

He does NOT choose people who are thought to be SIGNIFICANT and LOVED by the world, just on THEIR merits, which brought them that significance and adoration, but He seeks out the INSIGNIFICANT and DESPISED by the world, those who have been REJECTED and SHUNNED by their peers.  Those whose lives have been accounted as NOTHING, yet through Him they are SOMETHING.

 

SALVATION is NOT given out on the basis of one’s merits or standing in society.  You are NOT given that gift, because of how WISE or how STRONG, or WEALTHY, or SIGNIFICANT you are in the eyes of this SINFUL, WRETCHED, DEPRAVED WORLD.  But the gift of SALVATION is given ONLY because of God’s ABUNDANT MERCY and His AMAZING GRACE.  You cannot REASON, FIGHT, BUY or IMPRESS your way into Heaven.  You must come HUMBLY before the CROSS of CHRIST, without boasting about your OWN self.

Whatever your status in this life is, the fact remains, there is ONLY ONE WAY to an ETERNITY in Heaven, with God, the Father, and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  You must come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and be counted as one of His CHOSEN ones.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
