Disobedience versus Obedience

Disobedience versus Obedience

For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many.  But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.

Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.  Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners.  But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.--------Romans 5:17-19

When we were born, we were born with a sinful nature, because of Adam’s disobedience to God, when he and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden.  From the time of that first act of disobedience, sin entered into this world and it continued to increase to the point that God put into place His GREAT plan of redemption for ALL of mankind.  A plan that would restore a right relationship between mankind and Father God.

When Adam sinned death ruled over many, but GREATER was God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness and because of His GREAT love for the Crown of His Creation, ALL who receive His grace and gift of righteousness will live in triumph over sin and death, but ONLY through this one man, Jesus Christ, and the work of His Holy Spirit in our lives, when we are OBEDIENT to His Spirit.

The contrast between Adam’s act of disobedience and Jesus’ act of obedience is that Adam’s disobedience brings condemnation to everyone, but Jesus’ act of obedience brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone who BELIEVES and ACCEPTS God’s gracious gifts of MERCY and GRACE which brings about a right relationship with God, through the sacrificial act of OBEDIENCE of His blessed Son, Jesus Christ.  Because of one man’s act of DISOBEDIENCE to God, many became sinners.  But because of one Man’s act of OBDIENCE many will be made righteous with God.

Who are you following?  Adam and his act of DISOBEDIENCE that leads to condemnation and a sentence of spending eternity in Hell, a place void of ANYTHING good, a place of misery, torment, and torture forever, without any release or way of escape.  Or are you following Jesus and His act of OBEDIENCE that leads to a right relationship with God and the privilege of spending eternity in Heaven, a place that God has prepared for His Children, where there is NO pain, misery, torment or torture, but a place where JOY UNSPEAKABLE abounds and LOVE flows like a mighty river?

If you have NEVER given your HEART to Jesus, then you are following Adam’s act of DISOBEDIENCE and destined for an eternity in Hell.  However, you have the opportunity to change your act of DISOBEDIENCE to an act of OBEDIENCE and follow Christ to an eternity in Heaven. The ONLY way to do this is to:  CONFESS your sins to God and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and enjoy a right relationship with Him.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can. Time is running out and He’s waiting!!!
