Trust Him!
Praise the
Lord! For He has heard my cry for
mercy. The Lord is my strength and
shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with
joy. I burst out in songs of
thanksgiving.--------Psalm 28: 6-7, NLT
How many
times has the Lord come through for you?
Think about all the times He has delivered you out of difficult or
dangerous situations. Or miraculously
worked in your life to provide a way for you when there seemed to be NO
way.
Think about
the times that He has been your STRENGTH and SHIELD. It’s easy to trust Him in the good, peaceful
times, but what about the times when we are faced with adversity, or the
unknown, what is the level of our trust then.
The
Psalmist, David, says: “I trust Him with
ALL my heart.” Do we trust Him with ALL
our heart? Maybe after the answer comes,
but what about during the adversity or the fear of the unknown?
God is our
STRENGTH and SHIELD and therefore we should have so much TRUST in Him that it
would stagger the natural mind. When our
FAITH is strong and healthy it exemplifies our trust in God. As His Children, we should have a child-like
faith that would evoke a child-like trust, as when a child trust their parents
with their safety and protection because they know that their parents love
them. God’s love for His Children is so
much greater than the love that our earthly parents have for us. So then it
only makes sense that we should trust Him more than we would our own
parents. We should TRUST Him with ALL
our heart.
How do we
respond to His help when we cry out to Him and He helps us through our
dilemma? Is our heart FILLED with
JOY? Do we BURST out in songs of
thanksgiving? Or do we forget WHO helped
us out and leave Him without any acknowledgement of His help. Then our level of TRUST becomes superficial
and waning. When it should be stronger
and more evident to others, especially those that are lost in their sins.
If you have
NEVER given your heart to Jesus, then you have NO strength or shield and are
open to all kinds of adversities and unknowns without somebody capable of
providing a way for you, when there seems to be NO way. Someone who you can TRUST with ALL your
heart. That someone is God and you can
come to Him right NOW and TRUST Him with your destiny by: CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him
for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU,
and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT
His gift of SALVATION and receive the strength and shield you need to bring you
through any adversity or unknown situation of this life. Do it NOW, while you STILL can. He’s waiting!!!
