How Great Is Our Lord!

 

 

He counts the stars and calls them all by name.  How great is our Lord!  His power is absolute!  His understanding is beyond comprehension!  The Lord supports the humble, but He brings the wicked down into the dust.--------Psalm 147:4-6

 

 

How great is our Lord! And how magnificent is His name!  His greatness and power is absolute or perfect.  It is indescribable.  There are no words that can describe the greatness and power of our Lord. 

Who else is capable of counting ALL the stars and calling them by name?  Who else can hang earth at just the right distance from the sun?  Who else can bring the rain to a parched and dry land?  Who else can create trees that give us fruit and nuts?  Who else can provide the air we breathe and the food we eat?  Who else can sustain us?  Who else can provide ETERNAL life in Heaven?  Our Lord that’s who!

 

‘His understanding is beyond comprehension!’  He understands the earth and ALL of His creation.  He is in CONTROL, because He created every bit of it.  He understands the tiniest of intricacies of this universe and ALL that it includes.  He understands the complexity of mankind and the strengths and weaknesses thereof, because He is the only one who created such a magnificent work of creativity.  That’s why when the best of the best doctors give up on a human body, the family and loved ones go to the ONLY ONE capable of bringing life and sustaining it, back into the human body; our Lord! 

 

‘He supports the humble.”  In this world that we live in, there are MANY people who like to brag on their accomplishments and they will flaunt their pride all over the place, never once giving credit where credit is due.  They believe they are a self-made man or woman, and that they have accomplished all that they have on their own volition.  Not once, giving any credit to God for His blessings on them. 

And then there are the humble, who want NO accolades or praises for themselves, but wish to HONOR the One who has provided their abilities and wisdom to be able to do whatever He wants them to do.  They are the ones that God supports and honors in ALL of their endeavors. 

 

Those who don’t acknowledge Him or give Him credit for anything that they say or do, that is noteworthy.  Those who have turned their back to Him and more than once rejected Him, the wicked, they are the ones that will someday be brought down into the dust.  They will be knocked off of their self-made pedestal and will be cursed, because of their unconfessed sins and their pride will be the cause of their demise, all this will be done by the hand of Almighty God. 

 

Are you one of those SELF-MADE men or women, who like to gloat in your glory, and have put yourself on a self-made pedestal, one who has never acknowledged God or given Him any kind of credit in your life, but have rejected Him time and time again?  Then you will be counted with those who are considered to be; the wicked, and your future will be spent in a place of no accolades or praise, but only torment, misery, pain, heartache, grinding of teeth, and void of anything pleasant or satisfying.  That place known as HELL! 

 

You can take yourself off of that self-made pedestal and put yourself on the right path by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
