Listen!

 

 

Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven!  When God spoke from Mount Sinai His voice shook the earth, but now He makes another promise:  “Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.  This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.  Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping Him with holy fear and awe.   For our God is a devouring fire.--------Hebrews 12: 25-29

 

 

When Moses and the Children of Israel were travelling to the Promise Land they stopped at Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments.  The Israelites refused to listen to Moses’ instructions and therefore were rejecting God’s instructions and because of their disobedience they did not escape God’s wrath.

 

These verses enlightens us, today, that we too will not escape God’s wrath, if we refuse to LISTEN to Him.  When God spoke to the Israelites at Mount Sinai His voice shook the earth, and He makes another promise that He will once again shake not ONLY the earth, but the heavens also.

 

The words “once again” mean that ALL of creation will someday be shaken and removed.  And the things that cannot be shaken will last.  Since we will be given a Kingdom that is unshakable, we should be thankful and LISTEN to the One who speaks to us from Heaven and we should please Him by worshiping Him with a holy respect and honor Him by being obedient to His words.  We need to LISTEN to Him and follow His instructions because our God is like a devouring fire.

 

If you have NEVER given your HEART and LIFE to Jesus.  Then most likely you are not LISTENING to Him, and are being disobedient to Him and you will NOT escape God’s wrath, unless you: CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and be able to be a part of God’s UNSHAKABLE Kingdom.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
